BOOTH, ARONS, AND LEAL TO APPEAR AT YORK




YORK, PA – The dynamic duo of Wally Booth and Dick Arons along with “The California Flash” Butch Leal will appear at the 13th Annual Musclecar Madness at the York Reunion on July 11-12th at the York Expo Center, York Fairgrounds.

Joining these legends of drag racing will be former Funny Car World Champion Bruce Larson, former Top Fuel World Champion Jim Walther, and racing standouts Marv Ripes, Harold Denton, Jimmy King, Pete Shadinger, Bill Zinkhan, Wally Bell;, Tom Myl and a whole host of others celebrating the 13th Annual York Reunion.

Legendary race cars on display include Bubby Ingersoll’s turbo Pinto, the newly restored Yoo Hoo Too ’56 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery of Wayne and Dan Jesel, Dick Kincaid’s ’56 Chevrolet “Plum Loco”, and the Jim and Alison Lee Top Fuel entry “Great Expectations courtesy of Brian Beattie and the Doug Thorley Javelin funny car of Gordy Chilson.

The show features a Salute to GM and benefits the York County SPCA and the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing in York Springs, PA. Special tours are scheduled for visits to EMMR from the York show during the two days.

The Central Pennsylvania Modelers will have their popular Make and Take model building for the small fry attending the show. Children 12 and under can build a model provided free and take it home upon completion. A complete schedule of times is posted in the lobby of the show.

Show hours are Friday, July 11th from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 12th from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. A special Cruisin’ Into Summer cruise-in will be held on the plaza on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The giant nostalgia weekend concludes with the presentation of the York Nostalgia Nationals at Beaver Springs Dragway on Sunday, July 13th with activities beginning at 8 a.m.
