2015 York US 30 Reunion: Let’s Go to York!

YORK, PA – York US30 Dragway was the site of some of the most memorable racing events in the annals of drag racing. The one event that stands out the most of all is the 1st Super Stock Nationals that was presented on August 7, 1965.

This event and many of the events in the 24-year history of drag racing’s most memorable track will be presented on July 10th and 11th when the 14th Annual and final Musclecar Madness at the York Reunion will be presented.

Joining the farewell to the York Reunion will be the “original” voice of the 1st Super Stock Nationals, Jon Lundberg. He will be accompanied by “Miss Hurst Golden Shifter” Linda Vaughn, Al Joniec, Bruce Larson, Wally Bell, “Ohio George” Montgomery, Bob Harrop, winner of the ’65 event, Jim Walther, George Weiler, York announcer George Nye, Jack Redd, Jim Wemett, Dutch Irrgang, Ed Hedrick, Larry Lombardo, and a host of other legends in the sport of drag racing.

Allstate returns as the “Golden Heritage Sponsor” thru the auspices of Allen Mark Brittell Agency in York.They are joined by Jack Giambalvo Auto Group, York Traditions Bank, Hagerty Insurance, Cars By Dealers, JESEL, Auto Locator, Triangle Communications, ShawLaws.com, Apple Auto Group and Beaver Springs Dragway all making it possible to celebrate our racing heritage for fourteen consecutive years.

The event will feature trips to the original site of York US30 Dragway and a shuttle to the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing in York Springs.

The show opens Friday, July 10th at 1 p.m and runs until 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 11th at 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The show supports the York County SPCA and the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing.

The nostalgia weekend concludes on Sunday with the presentation of the York Nostalgia Nationals at Beaver Springs Dragway on Sunday, July 12th. Activities begin at 8 a.m.
