32 Funny Cars!

Back in the '80s, Raceway Park, Englishtown, ran an event called the "U.S. All-Pro Funny Car Championships." Featuring 16 nitro and 16 alcohol Funny Cars racing racing round-robin, it was THE event for east coast funny car fans.

The highlight of the event was when Vinnie Napp lined up all 32 cars on the drag strip and fired them all up at the same time to the delight of the crowd. This scene will be repeated at Englishtown on Sunday, July 28, at the Inaugural Funny Car Reunion.
