Here's the one and only "Crazzy" Jake Crimmins from the
NHRA Regional Points Meet at Englishtown in May of 1978.
Way back then, Top Fuel and Nitro Funny Cars ran on both the NHRA
divisional and regional level for an East-West championship title.
Jake, who previously drove for Swensen & Lani, Jungle Jim, Shady
Glenn, Roy Harris and others, went out on his own in '78 and had a fair
amount of success on both the NHRA and match race circuits.
Jake is currently building Fire Trucks and will be at the Inaugural
Funny Car Reunion at Raceway Park on July 27th & 28th.
