My baby girl Emily made her drag racing
debut on Saturday, 7/20. Running under the guidance of Tom Putnam, Emily
learned the basics of driving a Junior Dragster, made several test laps,
then entered competition. In what must be one of the rarest occurrences in
drag racing, Emily actually won her first ever round of competition as her
opponent redlighted.
Eight year old Emily said she really liked
it, which caused an immediate dull ache back in dad's wallet area. Let's
see what she thinks after a while... <g> These two clips were taken
by mom Denise. One shows Emily's winning round and the other shows her
first post-race interview. Hey, how come she didn't mention her sponsor?
