July 28, 2002 - Why I'll be cranky at the
Funny Car Reunion: What a week! It's pushing 3:30am on Friday night and
I'm gonna get up to go to the Funny Car Reunion at 5:00. That should add up
to about eight hours of sleep for the WEEK so far. Last night, Denise and I
went to see Lucinda Williams and we got to bed at 3am. Then, we went
in and worked all day, then picked up Flyin' Phil at National, then stayed
up for HOURS editing David Hapgood's excellent profile of Gary Omlin, then
set up stories and photos of the day for two days while we're at the
reunion... I'll be the guy up there sleepwalking. And if you're driving on
95 north tomorrow, don't worry. He doesn't know it yet, but brother Tim is
gonna be driving while I snooze... <g> Hope to see you up at
