Of course, we continue to go back through old drag mags and papers to fix our historic listings, as well. Norwalk 2002: Yes, Still MORE IHRA Norwalk Pics -- RAW! "Digger Vic" Cooke sent another couple dozen photos from IHRA Norwalk. We'll do a photo review this week... included in the action was a one-of-a-kind match up. Les Shockley brought the Shockwave out of retirement to face Bob Motz in an historic side by side jet truck race Saturday night. Motz won the close eighth mile battle, 5.07 to 5.30! Vic includes photos of the trucks.

Drag Racing Movie of the Week: LeRoy Blackman and Joe Boyle Side by Side Funny Car Burnouts. Tim Pratt captured Leroy's Blue Moon Monza and Joe Boyle's Plymouth Arrow on a side by side burnout that rivaled the nitro cars at the First Annual Funny Car Reunion at E-town.

August 30, 2002 - Drag Racing Story of the Day: (1) Super Camaro and Son: Sam Gianino Builds Me An Engine. Perry Wyatt, Jr. recalls building his sportsman class car with help from the then world record holder.

An Interview with Ernie Walker. I tackle two big stories coming out of our Southern Classic Thunder event at Ware Shoals Dragway last weekend. One is the event results from a great race. Two, I caught up with Ernie Walker to ask him about the Jungle Jim Vega that has JJ purists hopping mad.

Funny Car Reunion Pics -- RAW! With apologies to James Morgan and brother Tim Pratt, here are about 80 Funny Car Reunion pics that we just haven't had time to get up on web pages properly. That doesn't mean that you don't deserve to see 'em and that those awesome photogs don't deserve to have 'em displayed! So here's a compromise: I'll give you a link directly to the directory where they sit on the server. It may not be pretty, but you can click away to your heart's content on some amazing photos of an amazing race! I'll get them up on web pages this week.

August 02-03, 2002 - No, we didn't go weekly. Despite our spotty coverage this week, draglist.com did not go from a daily publication to a weekly. It was a simple matter of the mind being willing, but the body not being able to pull it off. After last week's sleeplessness followed by the Funny Car Reunion, all it seemed I could do this week was go to work, then come home and sleep. I added an extra hour a night and I think I'm back... so hang in there for cool web updates. 

Danny White has sent new lists that cover the first half of the year, Steve Klemetti has sent updated personal bests from the last few national events, and James Morgan has sent between 60-80 photos from the Funny Car Reunion. In addition, Flyin' Phil will be sending more. He's currently in Wisconsin, picking up the new ramp truck transporter for the Nitro Nova. Oh yeah, brother Tim Pratt took dozens of shots and video clips at the FCR that we need to get up here, too. Stand by!!! bp
