November 18, 2002 - Drag Racing Story of the Day: Victor Bray Resets World Doorslammer Speed Record. Rob Oberg reports that the six-time Aussie Top Doorslammer champ raised the bar again this weekend with a booming 245.23 mph blast, making the first 240 mph doorslammer run closer to 250 mph!

November 12-13, 2002 - USA-1 Dragfest was a Blast! The fifth annual USA-1 Dragfest at Bruce Larson's house was a lot of fun... you couldn't walk five feet without someone else grabbing you to bench race or to look at a piece of memorabilia! Brother Tim and I had a blast up there. Unfortunately, I got stuck at my day job on Sunday, hence no new photos or stories. We'll have some soon!

NHRA Communications provides final qualifying results and first round pairings from the World Finals, but have to resort to an obscure rule to get the top ten into the field due to the shortened qualifying sessions. Read closely.
