How About an 11 Second Volvo Truck from Malta?

Ever heard of quarter mile drag racing of heavy trucks? We do it here on the small island of Malta, which is situated in the Mediterranean, very close to Sicily.

We are the owners of a truck that competes in these races organized by the Malta Drag Racing Association. On Sunday April 22nd, 2001, we achieved some incredible results. We made a quarter mile in 11.555 seconds at a top speed of 119.87 mph. Our truck is fitted with a Volvo 12 liter engine and runs on diesel with nitrous oxide.
