The funny car final at Joliet was one of the quickest side by siders in history.

Lucas Oil NHRA NATIONALS, June 3, 2001, Joliet, IL - Final round photo of John Force and Del Worsham shows Del getting the holeshot on John Force and even though Force had a faster time 4.805 @ 321.19 mph he left too late to beat Del's slower 4.811 @ 314.39 mph.
