Dick Shannon qualified his gorgeous '37 Chevy in the number one spot of the C/Gas category at the Bakersfield March Meet with a fine 9.602. Shannon was upset in the opening round, as opponent Robert Patten used a 9.744 to take out Shannon's 9.784.
