2000 A/GAS Champ, Mark Mahood, qualified his spotless '69 Camaro in the third spot of the March Meet field with a 7.694. Mahood turned in consistent 7.60s all weekend. He looked to be on his way to an event win until he tossed the blower belt during the burnout of his semi final round meeting against eventual event winner, Sean Renteria.
