Drag Racing Picture of the Day!

John Pusch's Fuel Satellite

John Pusch was one of the Southwest's top match race funny cars in the mid-'70s. Photo by Jim White

This was a hard-running machine out of Kansas. Ray Motes drove it to some 6.30 numbers at 230 mph. The car also ran as Pusch and Motes and before that, Don Cain drove the Pusch and Cain '73 Mustang. Another pretty hard running car. This car was a regular in the Green Valley race reports in National Dragster. It was always competitive. bp
