Although the Groundshakers dragster ran hard,
the name actually came from the weight of each member of the team (300 lbs. plus). Owner Bill Demarest and group made a fairly impressive presentation. Driver was Gary Read. This shot was from a race at Irwindale, I would guess to be around 1969.
