I had every intention of scanning a nice shot of the old WAR EAGLE from Lebanon Valley for your consideration as 'photo of the day' but then... but then... I had this sudden (bad) reaction to nostalgia. You see, retro is just everywhere now and I guess I have finally (never thought I'd see the day) gotten sick of wallowing in the distant past.

Instead, I will go with this shot which better reflects my more recent passion -- low buck fuel cars from the past few years. Wyatt Radke has not been heard from [in a flopper, anyway] since this last run of his, and I am waiting for him to resurface... maybe having a pic of his car published will encourage him to continue. In any case, it does seem to me that the guys who are still (this pic is from 2000) trying to do something in this day and age are even MORE heroic than my heroes from the past (great heroes in their own right) because they are really fighting the current.

I was a little disappointed that I could not get the scanned image any clearer. The shot is crystal clear... I hope it will do.
