Garlits & Malone Team Up

Despite losing the front tire, Big Daddy went on to win the 1984 US Nationals.

The year was 1984 and I believe the first time out for the Garlits/Malone partnership. This shot from Indy shows the front tire coming off at speed during eliminations. "Big" won that round and went on to claim his sixth U.S. Nationals title.
