Jegs Mail Order to Sponsor All Three NHRA Sportsnationals Events through 2010 Season

GLENDORA, Calif. (Dec. 4, 2007) – JEGS Mail Order, a nationwide leader in sales and distribution of parts and supplies for the aftermarket performance industry, has signed a multi-year agreement with NHRA to sponsor all three NHRA SPORTSnationals events.

JEGS Mail Order will renew its sponsorship of two of the events – the JEGS NHRA Cajun SPORTSnationals, April 4-6 at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, La. and the JEGS NHRA Northern SPORTSnationals, Sept. 19-21 at historic National Trail Raceway near Columbus, Ohio – and will become the new title sponsor of the JEGS NHRA Pacific SPORTSnationals, Oct. 3-5 at Auto Club Dragway at California Speedway in Fontana, Calif.

“JEGS Mail Order is excited to support all three NHRA SPORTSnationals events,” said Scott Woodruff, director of media and motorsports for JEGS Mail Order. “This is a program that we are excited to continue helping bring to the next level. As always, the plan is to continue to add new elements to the race program so that all three events will be more enjoyable for everyone involved.”

The JEGS NHRA SPORTSnationals are NHRA national events designed to showcase NHRA’s sportsman categories exclusively. Competitors in Comp Eliminator, Stock, Super Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas and Super Street will compete for more than $50,000 at each of the JEGS NHRA SPORTSnationals events in 2008. NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series national event points will be awarded to drivers in all categories except Super Street.

In addition, all three events will feature NHRA class eliminations, including a Super Stock Hemi Shootout, along with a variety of exhibition racing.

“The Coughlin family has such a successful heritage in NHRA sportsman racing,” said Gary Darcy, senior vice president of sales and marketing, NHRA. “All three races have become extremely popular and with the extended support of JEGS Mail Order, the events will continue to grow and provide great experiences for racers and fans alike.”

The JEGS NHRA SPORTSnationals sponsorship renewals increase JEGS Mail Order’s presence in NHRA Championship Drag Racing. The company also sponsors the popular JEGS Allstars at Route 66 Raceway near Chicago; the JEGS Super Quick Series in NHRA Division 3; and provides primary sponsorship for a variety of race cars that compete in NHRA competition, including: the defending POWERade Series world champion machine, the JEGS.com Chevrolet Cobalt Pro Stock car driven by Jeg Coughlin in the NHRA POWERade Series; and the JEGS.com Super Stock, Super Comp and Super Gas cars driven by Mike and John Coughlin in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. JEGS Mail Order also is a major NHRA contingency sponsor.

NHRA renewed the popular SPORTSnationals event in 2004 after hosting the event annually from 1974-1986 at a trio of tracks, including Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Ky. (1974-‘80; 1985-‘86), the old Houston International Raceway (1981-‘82) and Indianapolis Raceway Park (1982-‘83). A year later NHRA expanded the special sportsman-only events to a trio of races at diverse locations across the U.S.

With more than 330 associates, JEGS Mail Order, based in Delaware, Ohio, is a recognized leader in the sale and distribution of parts and supplies for the automotive aftermarket performance industry. JEGS Mail Order has three retail locations in central Ohio and multiple call centers that service customers nationwide. Collectively, the Coughlin family – Jeg Sr., John, Troy, Mike and Jeg Jr. -- have earned more than 100 victories in NHRA competition.
