Notes: Photo grab from Rick Howard Super 8mm film from 1978 Popular Hot Rodding Championship. Pro Comp class ran both alcohol dragsters and funny cars. He defeated Vern Moats in round one, with 6.85/196 but lost to Frank Hawley in round two. Shortly after that, he was at Edgewater for an NHRA BB/FC Pro-Am Circuit race. The race was rained out after the first round, but Bob had defeated Tom Trish with a great 6.81/200.
