Notes: This car made its debut in August and made shakedown runs at OCIR before heading east for the NHRA Nationals. At Indy Don used consistent low seven second times to capture his first NHRA National Event. He beat Leroy Goldstein (Ramchargers) in the final 7.00, 214.79 to a losing 7.14, 211.26. |

Notes: Jenner had nothing to do with this car. It was Ron Hodgson and Verhuel. The car was new in 80. Still the same setup as the 79 car and it was an Al Swindahl Chassis Components car. There were two cars. One stayed in Canada and was pulled around to shows. the other one was a national event car. When we ran the tour deal in the NW (Portland, Boise, Edmonton, Seattle), we ran both cars and got twice the money. Frank Hall usually drove the local car. Leon Lippoldt - crewmember |

Notes: Ran as team car "blocker" for Meyer's title points chase in final two NHRA events. Was let go after winning the World Finals. Fremont 250.00 was the fourth entry in the Crane Cams 250 MPH Club for Funny Car (Meyer himself owned the 2nd entry). |

Notes: Photo is the car at Lions just after getting sponsors. Don Burns lettering was shortly moved to space in front of Durachrome name. This chassis was damaged at OCIR and new chassis was built just before two full seasons on USA national tour. Second car had darker shadowing along body lines. |

Notes: Photo from Indy 1987. Also 5.49 at Ennis All Stars race in April. Battle for FC ET record at Ennis 87 was amazing: John Force (5.453), Mark Oswald (5.449), Mike Dunn (5.443), and Force (5.396) all reset the mark, but Ed McCulloch finally landed the mark with the 5.366 (with a best speed of 271.73). Later went 272.06 at Pomona Finals 87. |

Notes: Charlie's Charger was in the northwest most of its Existence 'cuz Charlie was in the Army at Fort Lewis. It ran constantly and won nearly every race all of 1971 ExCEPT the NHRA WCS events -- Jerry Ruth won all five. The Charger set the first FC speed record over 220 that year, a 222.22 at Mission, B.C. Hard to forget that number. - Phil Elliott | Charlie Allen claimed both ends of the Funny Car record at 6.82, 222.22. - NHRA |
