Notes: Glidden showed up at Pomona for the NHRA Winternationals with his new T-Bird. On Saturday, he ran a tire shaking 7.71/184.04. In the afternoon, he came out to make another attempt but shut off on the line. His earlier run held on for the "bump" for the sixteen-car field. In the opening round, he faced Warren Johnson; it was probably the best race of the round that saw Warren's 7.53/184.04 beat Bob's 7.55/176.47. Glidden later stated that the car got loose at the top end and that he had to shut it down early. After that dismal showing, things went better at Gainesville for the NHRA Gatornationals, where he set Low ET and Top Speed with track records of 7.49/186.72 to qualify low. Once again, he faced WJ in the first round, but this time /johnson fouled while Bob ran 7.51/183.29 to advance. In round two, the T-Bird shook the tires hard, and his 7.74/183.97 lost to Bruce Allen's 7.69/178. The season's "gamechanger" for Glidden came at Atlanta for the NHRA Southern Nationals. There he qualified #2 with a 7.54/183.59 behind WJ's 7.53/184. Bob beat Frank Iaconio in round one, and a second-round 7.59/180 took out Joe Lepone. He faced Butch Leal in the semifinals, but after winning their race, he popped the chutes, and the car got out of shape. It got airborne before crashing down and rolling violently. Bob was shaken but unhurt; after he got out of the car, he took off his jacket and hung it over the intake manifold. This was done so no prying eyes could see the work he had done with it. Bob showed up at Baton Rouge with his '85 T-Bird painted with the Cheif Auto Parts, 7/11 colors for the NHRA Cajun Nationals. A 7.63/183.22 qualified #10, and in the opening round of eliminations, he got out on Dave Hutchens, and his 7.69/181.48 beat Hutchens' quicker,7.68/179. In round two, Glidden's 7.73/181.82 fell to Reid Whisnant's 7.69/178. The next NHRA event was the Springnationals at Columbus. Bob's 7.60/181.19 qualified #7 and a 7.81/174.45 in the opening round lost to Dempsey Hardy's 7.74/173. Things went slightly better at the NHRA Grandnationals, where a 7.54/183.89 qualified #2 behind WJ's 7.51/185. Another 7.54 at 183.22 beat Hardy's 7.73/180 in round one, but a 7.56/185.11 lost to Hutchens' 7.57/181 in round two. At this point, Glidden was way down in fifth in the NHRA Pro Stock points chase. WJ was leading by a long shot. | Set the national record at 7.443 at 1986 Summernationals, then reset the national record with an unreal 7.377 at Indy. Photo from Milan, MI, 1986.

Notes: Scott drove Warren Johnson's #2 car for '91. He started his season by qualifying #4 at Pomona for the NHRA Winternationals with a 7.26/190.15. Unfortunately, he fouled against Gordie Rivera in the first round. At the NHRA Arizona Nationals, a 7.34/187.69 qualified #6. But in round one, he and Tony Christian ran 7.35 (Scott at 186.72), but Tony won. The next stop was at Houston for the NHRA Supernationals. A 7.28/189.35 qualified #5, and he beat Jerry Haas in the first round, and in round two, his 7.25/188.24 beat Bob Glidden's 7.27/189. In the semifinals, he improved to 7.23/189.39 to beat Don Beverley and move into the final. His final-round opponent was his future teammate, Darrell Alderman. It was a close race as both drivers ran 7.21/190.63! But Alderman got a better start and took the win. The next NHRA event was the Gatornationals. Scott qualified #4 with a 7.24/190.39. In the first round, he got left on by Butch Leal, and his quicker 7.35/188.16 lost to Leal's 7.37/187. Rockingham hosted the NHRA Winston Invitational in April, and Scott's 7.23/191.81 qualified #2 for the show. He beat Lee Dean in the first round, with a 7.33/188.99, but in the second round, another 7.33 at 188.79 lost to Jerry Eckman's 7.32/187. It was then off to Atlanta for the NHRA Southern Nationals. For the second event in a row, he qualified #2 behind Alderman's 7.22 with a 7.26/189.19. He beat Beverley in the first round before breaking on the line in round two against Eckman. Alderman and Geoffrion also qualified one-two at the next NHRA event, the Mid-South Nationals at Memphis, where Scott's 7.31/189.31 followed Darrell's 7.30. A first-round 7.34/189.51 beat Gary Brown, but a sleepy 7.33/188.91 in round two lost to Eckman's 7.43/187. Alderman and Geoffrion continued their #1 qualifying spot battle at the NHRA Springnationals, and once again, Darrell got the top spot with a 7.29 while Scott followed in the #2 spot with a 7.31/188.75. Scott ran 7.35/187.79 in the first round over James Antonette, while a second round 7.38/187 beat Glidden's slightly quicker 7.37/188. In the semifinals, he came up against his boss, Warren Johnson, and Scott's 7.41/185.95 finished second best to WJ's 7.34/187. The NHRA tour then traveled up north to Canada for the Grandnationals. Alderman was off in qualifying (#13), while Scott picked up the pole with a 7.23/190.88. A 7.29/190.23 in the first round beat Haas, while another 7.29 at 189.59 in round two beat Eckman. He picked up to 7.26/189.67 in the semifinals, but it wasn't enough to beat Alderman's 7.23/189. During the past 12 months, Geoffrion had amassed enough points to qualify for the NHRA Pro Stock Challenge race held at Englishtown in conjunction with the Summernationals. Only the top eight cars made the field. Scott fell to a Bruce Allen holeshot in the first round, where his 7.32/188.52 lost to Allen's 7.34/188. He didn't do much better the following day for the Summernationals. He qualified #4 with a 7.25/190.59, but an off-pace 7.43/187.81 in the first round, lost to Frank Iaconio's 7.34/187. After such a bad outing at Englishtown, he won the Pro Stock Open race at Maryland International. He qualified #2 behind WJ's 7.35 with a 7.38. Scott beat Robert Hardy and Harry Scribner in the first two rounds before running 7.35 in the semifinals to beat Rickie Smith's 7.40. In the final, it was an all-Warren Johnson show. Scott was free to go for it with no points on the line. Another 7.35 in the final got the victory over his boss's 7.41. The 10th race on the NHRA schedule was the Mile High Nationals in Denver. Scott ran 7.72/177.20 to qualify #6 in the thin air. A quick-leaving 7.78/175.47 in the first round beat Smith's 7.77/175. In round two, a 7.72/177.58 beat Larry Morgan's 7.76/177, and a semifinal 7.70/178.00 took out Alderman. This set up another Warren Johnson team car final. WJ prevailed with a 7.66/179 over Scott's runner-up effort of 7.76/176.64.With his final round finish, he remained fourth in points but closed in on Glidden, who had lost in the second round.Shortly after that, he was at Sonoma for the NHRA California Nationals, where his 7.27/191.97 qualified #7.In the first round, his 7.28/191.73 fell to Jim Yates' 7.26/188.A few days later(July 31), he drove Don Beverley's car at the Pro Stock Invitational at Woodburn. He was back in WJ's second car at Seattle in the first week of August for the NHRA Northwest Nationals.A 7.30/188.52 qualified #5. He improved to 7.26/189.59 in round one to beat Rivera's 7.32/187, and another 7.30 at 189.39 beat Allen's 7.30/189 in round two. He faced his boss in the semifinal, and WJ's 7.24/191 defeated his 7.34/187.53. Scott duplicated his year's best ET with a 7.218 at Maple Grove. His best speed came at Topeka Fall at 192.84.

Defeated Alban Gauthier in round one, with improved 7.26/190.63, but lost to Larry Morgan in round two). | Don qualified #11 at Pomona for the NHRA Winternationals with a 7.27/191.61. He picked up to a 7.24/192.47 to beat Rickie Smith in the first round, but in round two, Bob Glidden pulled a holeshot, and his 7.33/189 beat Beverley's quicker 7.29/190.59. At the NHRA Arizona Nationals, he qualified #10 with a 7.30/190.71. A first-round 7.28/190.51 beat Jerry Haas and in round two, a quick off-the-line 7.36/189.71 beat Larry Morgan's quicker 7.32/188. In the semifinals, he beat Jim Yates with a 7.33/190.63, putting him in the finals against Jerry Eckman. Jerry had been running about a tenth quicker, and in the final, Beverley had problems and shut off to 7.77/137.95, while Eckman got the victory with a 7.26/190. The next stop was at Houston for the NHRA Supernationals. Don qualified #9 with a 7.21/192.84. Unfortunately, he fouled against Yates in the first round. He really improved his qualifying at the NHRA Gatornationals, where he ran 7.16/194.09 for the #4 spot in the field. But once again, he lost early, this time to Lewis Worden in the first round. Don qualified #7 at Rockingham for the NHRA Winston Invitational with a 7.24/191.61. He lost a close race to Warren Johnson in the semifinals when his 7.24/191.44 lost to WJ's 7.22/192. The next stop on the NHRA tour was Atlanta for the Southern Nationals. Beverley got his second National event win and his first since '86. He qualified #3 for the show with a 7.23/192.43 and ran 7.25/191.57 over Joe LePone Jr. in the first round. A second-round 7.21/191.24 beat Smith, and another 7.21 at 191.44 in the semifinals beat Pawuk. In the final, he ran Geoffrion. Scott shut off with problems while Don motored to a 7.20/191.49 for the victory. It was then off to Memphis for the NHRA Mid-South Nationals, where he qualified #2 with a 7.25/191.00. He was still riding high after the win at Atlanta but was humbled in the first round, when he lost to Lucinda McFarlin. Don dropped off to a 7.44/191.12 that lost to her 7.34/188.95.

Notes: Mark attempted to qualify at Pomona for the NHRA Winternationals, but he was the seventh alternate with a best of 7.822/178.92. At the NHRA Gatornationals, he was the fourth alternate with a 7.807/178.64 best, and at the NHRA Southern Nationals at Atlanta, his best of 7.853/180.21 was the fourth alternate for the show. He failed to qualify at the NHRA Cajun Nationals with a 7.766/178.85 second alternate effort, and the NHRA Springnationals, where he was the thirteenth alternate with a 7.926/167.97 best. These non-qualifying efforts being shown are not to take anything away from Mark; it was just the opposite as 34 cars attempted to qualify at the Springnationals. Being the fourth or the fifth alternate for these shows was impressive due to the caliber of competition. Things went great in Canada, where he qualified (#8) in the top half of the show with a 7.637/181.08. He slowed two-tenths in the first round, to 7.831/177.65 and lost to Ronnie Manchester's 7.76/178. He failed to qualify at the NHRA Summernationals with a 7.770/177.51 fourth alternate effort, but he made the show at the NHRA Mile High Nationals, where his 8.154/168.53 qualified #13. He got his first-round win of the year when Dave Hutchens fouled against him in the first round, and Mark's 8.304/166.66 advanced. In round two, he fouled away an 8.316/166.35 against the eventual winner Bob Glidden's 7.97/172. Rodenberg was the second alternate at the NHRA Northstar Nationals with a best of 7.866/177.16, and at the NHRA US Nationals, his 7.806/178.21 best made him the seventh alternate. He was one of thirteen cars that failed to qualify at the NHRA Keystone Nationals, where his 7.749/179.28 was good for the fifth alternate. At the NHRA Fallnationals, he qualified #14 with a 7.844/177.86, but a 7.964/170.45 in round one, lost to Don Coonce's 7.84/174. Back at Pomona for the NHRA World Finals, Mark ended the season with a 7.893 at a booming 186.01 that failed to qualify (eighth alternate).

Notes: After a very trying year in '82 with the EXP that was actually built with the intent that there would still be weight factors, Bob was happy to be in a new Hardy-built longer wheelbase Thunderbird. He had only been able to win one race (NHRA Springnationals) in '82 and was looking to do much better in '83. He debuted the car at the NHRA Winternationals, where he qualified #1 with a 7.826/177.86. A first-round 7.86/174.75 beat Bubba Corzine and a 7.93/166.97 advanced in round two when Lee Shepherd fouled. In the semifinals, a 7.88/176.81 beat Roy Hill and in the final, Bob slowed to a 7.99/174.41 that lost to Frank Iaconio's 7.81/175. At the second NHRA event of '83, the Gatornationals, a 7.74/176.81 qualified #7. He beat Ronnie Manchester in the first round, with a 7.75/175.78 and a 7.80/179.41 in round two, beat Carlton Phillips' 7.88/173. In the semifinal, Shepherd beat his 7.79/175.78 with a 7.66/181. At the NHRA Southern Nationals on April 17, Glidden failed to qualify for the eight-car field. He was the first alternate at 7.90/174.41. That was the last time that Glidden would fail to qualify for an NHRA race for a long, long time. At the Cajun Nationals, a 7.77/178.92 qualified #4. A 7.87/176.81 defeated Rickie Smith's similar T-Bird in the opening round. He fell to Iaconio's 7.84/176 in the semifinal with an off-pace,8.01/154.10.Glidden showed up at Columbus with a new Arias/Root aluminum block in the car.The engine weighed 75lbs less than the stock block he had been using. That meant that he could shift 75 lbs towards the back of the car instead of having the weight over the front wheels. Using it, he qualified #2 at the NHRA Springnationals with a 7.78/177.51. A first-round 7.81 advanced when Roy Hill's Capri broke, and Reid Whisnant fouled against him in round two. Bob motored to a 7.81/177.16 for the win. In the semifinals, he faced Butch Leal, and his 7.85/177.51 beat Leal's 7.92/173. He was up against Iaconio in the final. The two reversed the outcome of the Winternationals with Bob's 7.79/178.21 (Top Speed) taking the victory over Frank's 7.83/174.This was his 36 NHRA National event victory. At the NHRA Grandnationals, Glidden set Low ET and Top Speed in qualifying #1 with a 7.72/179.64. Unfortunately, he fouled against Don Coonce in the opening round. He was the #3 qualifier at Englishtown for the NHRA Summernationals with a 7.75/179.28 (Top Speed and a track record). A first-round 7.79/177.51 advanced over a fouling Rickie Smith, but in the second round, he shut off with tire shake, and he slowed to 11.78 in a loss to Leal's 8.04. He won the NHRA Mile High Nationals at the end of July. There he qualified #1 at 8.14/172.41. Don Coonce fouled against him in the first round, and Bob advanced with an 8.16/170.77. In the semifinals, his 8.11/172.41 beat Warren Johnson's 8.21/168. In the final, he was up against Shepherd. Glidden reset both ends of the track record with an 8.08/173.07 to get the victory over Lee's 8.15/167. He made it two in a row when he also won the NHRA Northstar Nationals at Brainerd. A 7.78/177.88 qualified #3, but he beat Bob Ingles in the first round, and his 7.90/176 beat Dave Hutchens in round two. He cut a great light in the semifinals, and his 7.89/176.12 beat Shepherd's quicker 7.86/171. This put him into the final against Iaconio. Once again, a sharp light combined with a 7.87/176.47 beat Frank's slightly quicker 7.85/176. Bob got three when he also picked up the NHRA US Nationals victory at Indianapolis as if two in a row weren't enough. He led the first day of qualifying with a 7.75/179.28 on Friday. He then came back out and ran 7.72/180.36 before finally taking the pole with a 7.69/180.72. His 7.75/180.00 in the opening round defeated Don Coonce's 7.87/180. Bob's 7.75 in round two advanced over a fouling Jerry Eckman. In the semifinals, both he and Iaconio ran 7.74 (Bob at 180.00), with Glidden getting the win light. This set up yet another Shepherd vs. Glidden final. Bob took the victory with a track record 7.68 at 180.36 over Lee's 7.71/181. The next NHRA event was the Golden Gate Nationals held at Fremont on October 2. This was an eight-car field, and Glidden qualified #3 with a 7.67/180.72 behind those pesky Camaros of Iaconio and Shepherd. But in the first round, Glidden was upset by Roy Hill, who ran 7.82/177 to beat Bob's 7.81/178.57. Bob always ran well at the NHRA World Finals, no matter where they were held. In '83, OCIR hosted the season final. He qualified #5 with a 7.69/182.18. The speed was good enough for a new NHRA record. He got some payback over Hill in the opening round, where his 7.75/179.64 trailered the Capri's 7.81/178. In round two, he took out the lone Mopar in the field, Reid Whisnant's Charger, with a 7.71/179. But he was late off the line in the semifinal, and his 7.664/180.36 lost to eventual winner Johnson's 7.71/178. Still, the '83 season was a huge improvement over his '82 season, and he ended up finishing third in the NHRA Pro Stock points chase.

Notes: Ran first 500ci seven at Winternationals with a 7.86/174.75, low qualifier at 7.84/174.08. Ended the year with the second of four World championships. Won Bristol IHRA Spring Nationals with a 7.890 at 176.81. Dropped two tenths by the end of the year with a 7.655. Number 2 qualifier at Indy 82 at 7.775/176.12 (WJ number 1 at 7.762). | Shepherd and the Reher-Morrison team opened their arms to NHRA's 500 cubic inch rule for '82. They had tested their IHRA counterparts in '81 and did well. So, they were looking forward to '82. They started the year at Pomona for the Winternationals, where they qualified #1 with a 7.84/174.08. Lee Shepherd beat Harry Scribner's 8.05/170 in the first round, with a 7.87/174.08. In round two, a 7.86/174.75 (Top Speed and a new NHRA record) beat John Hagen's 8.21/157. In the semifinals, Bob Glidden fouled, and Lee took the win with a 7.84/174.08. In the final, Shepherd ran Frank Iaconio, who was also running 7.8s. Lee slowed to an 8.02/156.52 in the final, giving Iaconio's 7.83/174 the victory. Shepherd more than made up for the loss at the next race, the Gatornationals, where he qualified #1 with new NHRA records of 7.77/177.16. He went on to the final by beating Glidden, Dave Hutchens, and Pat Musi with times of 7.86/175.43, 8.10/172.08 (when Dave fouled), and 8.02/174.71. In the final, he met Iaconio again, but this time Lee's 7.88/174.41 beat Frank's 7.89/172 for the win. At Atlanta for the Southern Nationals, Shepherd qualified #2 in the eight-car field with a 7.85/176.81. In round one, a 7.82/174 beat Hutchens, and in the semifinals, a 7.80 (Low ET) at 174 advanced when Warren Johnson fouled. In the final, he ran Glidden's EXP. Bob tried hard, but his 8.02/174 lost to Lee's 7.81/174.41. At the fourth race of the NHRA season, the Cajun Nationals at Baton Rouge, Lee qualified #1 with Low ET of the meet, a 7.81. It was another eight-car show, and Shepherd beat Joe Lepone and a fouling Glidden in the semifinals to face Iaconio in the final for the third time in '82. Once again, Lee came out on top with a 7.90/173, beating Frank's 7.93/173. At the Springnationals, a 7.81/175.43 (Low ET and Top Speed) qualified #1. He beat Andy Mannarino in the first round and Jim Meyer in round two with a 7.90/173.41. In the semifinals, he left on Iaconio and won with a 7.96/173.41 over Frank's 7.93/172. He faced Glidden in the final, and it was a close race, with Bob's 7.92/170 just nipping the Camaro's 7.93/172.74 for the win. These two would meet in the final of the next race as well, the Mile High Nationals in Denver. They qualified one-two, with Lee's 8.29 getting the pole for the eight-car field. Shepherd beat Gene Fasching and John Brumley to face Glidden in the final. Lee set Low ET and Top Speed in the final with an 8.27/164.23 over Glidden's right there 8.30/156. Another win came at the Grandnationals in Canada on July 4. He qualified #1 with a 7.82/175.43. In the semifinals, he stopped Iaconio with a 7.80, and in the final, he reset both ends of the NHRA record with a 7.74/178.57 to stop Johnson's 7.88/175. Out of the first seven races, Shepherd had now won five of them. He didn't win at Englishtown for the Summernationals, although he again qualified #1 (7.79, Low ET). He beat Pat Musi, a fouling Iaconio, and Bob Ingles in the semifinals with a 7.84. In the final, he ran Johnson in his Olds Starfire. It was a close race, but Lee had to settle for runner-up honors with his 7.91/173.74, finishing second to Warren's 7.90/174. It was WJ and Oldsmobile's first NHRA win. | Low qualifier and winner at PHR event at Martin MI with a best of 7.79/174.41. We need to validate the 179.91 qualifying speed from the Golden Gates. That number is directly from the qualifying sheet but could not have come up on the three-digit clocks of the day. Likely was 178.92? Lee did run 179.28 during eliminations. Notes: This was Darrell Alderman's "dream season."He repeated as the NHRA Pro Stock points champion and was the points leader from February until the end of the season. He set a record of 59 round wins to win a record 11 times that season.Alderman qualified #1 at the NHRA Winternationals with a 7.22 (Low ET) and went on to win with a final 7.28/188.08 over a breaking Warren Johnson. At the NHRA Arizona Nationals, he again qualified #1 with a 7.21 (Low ET), then ran 7.36/187.38 over Mark Pawuk, a 7.33/188.32 over Rickie Smith, and a semifinal 7.31/189.27 over Tony Christian. Once again, he met WJ for the title, and once again, he won; a 7.31/188.71 beat WJ's 7.34/188. At the third stop on the NHRA tour, the Supernationals, he qualified #2 with a 7.25. He got Low ET in the first round, with a 7.19, and ran a second round 7.20/189.87. In the semifinal, a 7.21/190.03 beat Bruce Allen. He took his third win in the row when his 7.21/190.63 defeated Scott Geoffrion. At the Gatornationals, he qualified #1 with a 7.18 (Low ET) and again made it to the final by running 7.32 in rounds one, and two and a 7.28/188.88 beat Bob Glidden's 7.29/189 in the semifinal. He was matched against WJ in the final again, but this time, WJ's 7.27/189 beat his 7.31/188.48. At Rockingham for the Winston Invitational in April, he qualified #1 with a 7.22/191.61 but failed to reach the final. He lost before the finals at the next NHRA event as well, the Southern Nationals. Darrell did leave with a new track record 7.22 he set in qualifying #1. At the NHRA Mid-South Nationals, a 7.30 qualified #1, and he ran Low ET with a 7.29 during eliminations. In the final, it was Darrell and WJ again; once again, WJ prevailed with a 7.34/188 beating the Dodge's 7.43/185.26. Darrell got back into the winner's circle on June 9 at the NHRA Springnationals. A track record 7.29 at 189.19 qualified #1, and he and WJ worked their way to the final, where Darrell's 7.33/188.36 nipped WJ at 7.33/188. Later in June, he was in Canada for the NHRA Grandnationals. He qualified #13 with a 7.29 but still managed to work his way to the final, where he met Glidden. Alderman set Low ET with a 7.20/190.07, and he needed every bit of it as Glidden was right there with a 7.21/191. Darrell then won the Pro Stock Challenge race at Englishtown. He beat Pawuk in the first round, with a 7.27/189.23 and a 7.29/188.56 advanced in the semifinals when Jerry Eckman fouled. In the final, a 7.28/189.91 beat Allen's 7.30/189. He really cleaned up at Englishtown, as he won the NHRA Summernationals as well. He qualified #2 with a 7.21/191.16 and made his way into the final against Rickie Smith, where a 7.29/188.08 beat Smith's 7.36/187 for the money. The tenth NHRA event of the season was the Mile High Nationals at Denver. Darrell qualified #2 with a 7.65/178.50, just behind WJ's 7.64. In the first round, he beat Frank Iaconio's 7.78/175 with a 7.68/178.00. Round two saw his 7.73/176.92 beat Jim Yates' 7.80/177. In the semifinals, he lost to Scott Geoffrion's 7.70. At the end of July, he picked up another win at Sonoma for the NHRA California Nationals. It was his seventh win of the season. He qualified #2 with a 7.25/191.85, and in the first round, his 7.29/191.89 beat Gordie Rivera's 7.33/189. In the second round, a 7.28/191.24 beat Yates' tire shaking 7.66/182, and a 7.28/190.96 beat Smith's 7.30/190 in the semifinals. He got the victory in the final by pulling a holeshot and hanging on as his 7.30/190.07 beat Larry Morgan's quicker 7.25/191. Darrell almost won the next NHRA event as well, the Northwest Nationals. He again qualified #2 with a 7.27/189.59 behind WJ's 7.24/191. He improved to a 7.20 (Low ET) at 190.59 to beat Eckman's 7.35/192 in the first round. In round two, a 7.29/188.99 beat Yates' 7.35/186, and in the semis, his 7.29/188.48 beat Morgan's 7.32/187.53. In the final, he ran WJ, and his 7.29 finished second best to the Oldsmobile driver's 7.23. WJ out-qualified him again at Brainerd for the NHRA Northstar Nationals, but Darrell's 7.36/186.87 held for the second spot in the field. He improved to 7.29/187.34 in his first-round win over Joe Lepone Jr's 7.41/185. A second-round 7.31/187.38 trailered Eckman's 7.39/187, and a semifinal 7.29/187.89 beat Morgan's 7.35/186 and moved him into the final against Allen. Bruce had problems and shut down the Reher-Morrison Beretta giving Alderman his ninth NHRA victory of the season with a 7.32/187.18.After such a great year, it went downhill after he plead guilty to federal cocaine charges, and NHRA suspended him from competing for the next two seasons.
