Notes: AKA Northwest Thunder. Ken eventually sold the car to Billy Stepp. | Ken was at Pomona for the NHRA Winternationals, where he qualified #12 in the 32 car field with a 9.57/146.34. A first-round 9.85 was all he needed as his competition broke. In round two, his 9.72 lost to Jack Roush's 9.63. He ran well at Fremont for the AHRA Northern Nationals, where he made it into the semifinals before losing to the eventual winner Dick Landy. A week later(March 18), he was at Gainesville for the NHRA Gatornationals. Ken qualified on the "bump" for the sixteen-car field with a 9.37, but an off pace 10.21 lost to Mike Fons' 9.37 in the opening round. He stayed busy, as the following week, he was at OCIR for the final All-Pro race. He qualified #12 for the sixteen-car show, but he lost to Larry Huff in the opening round. |

Notes: Team broke up early in '77. Kanners was replaced by Andy Mannarino. Photo not from 77. Ran 8.835/155.97 at Pomona and 8.970/153.32 at Gainesville. | Dave was at Pomona for the NHRA Winternationals where he qualified #5. Unfortunately, he lost a motor on another qualifying run and was unable to run in eliminations. |

Notes: Arnew was at Dover Dragstrip in April for an NHRA Pro Stock circuit race. In the first round, his 10.33/132.00 beat Ken Montgomery's 10.67/133. Unfortunately, he ran against Bob Banning Jr. in the semifinals and missed a shift, advancing Banning into the final. Jack was at Capitol Raceway on June 27 for another NHRA Pro Stock circuit race. It was an eight-car show, and his 10.28/135.73 beat Clarence McNeal in the opening round. In the semifinals, he took on the always-tough Ed Miller. Arnew won with a 10.19/135.36 over Ed's slightly better 10.18/135. This moved Jack into the final against Bill Blanding in the "Mimi" Camaro. The two had a good race, but Jack was sharp on the tree, and his 10.23/136.80 got the victory over Bill's 10.16/136. In early August, he reset the A/MP record to 10.33 at the NHRA Division 1 race at Maple Grove with this car. He also won the NHRA Pro Stock Circuit Race held at Maple Grove on September 5. In the final, he got off the line really well, and his 10.34/131.96 held on to win over Rick Holladay's much better 10.19/134. Also ran 10.19 at Jackson, SC, and 10.24 at Maple Grove. |

Notes: Lyall worked as a technician at Ford. He ran this Boss 429-powered Mustang that he purchased from Ford for $1.00, and his '69 Mustang updated to '70 specs for '70. He was racing AHRA and NHRA, and the two associations had slightly different rules. NHRA required glass windows and two seats where AHRA did not. So his '69 car was run in AHRA, and the '70 competed at NHRA tracks. He had some help along the way as Wayne Gapp, a neighbor, gave him some advice, and Connie Kalitta, who was running the engine in his Top Fuel car, also donated some parts. Ran at AHRA Grand Nationals at Oklahoma City 1970. |

Notes: Memory tells me this was a Don Hardy car. We need to confirm. | Mills failed to qualify at Pomona for the NHRA Winternationals. In April, he was at Baton Rouge for the NHRA Division 4 race. He reached the finals, but his 9.23/145.63 finished runner-up to Larry Huff's 9.00/150. |
