Notes: Adams started the year with a runner-up finish to Doug Kirk at the IHRA Winternationals. He qualified #8 with a 7.22 and he ran another 7.22 at 189 in a first-round win over Tim Nabors. He won his second round race and then soloed in the semifinals when Harry Scribner was unable to show. A final round 7.27/187.57 lost to Kirk's 7.19/192. Adams then won the IHRA Dixie Nationals at Carolina Dragway. He got some revenge by stopping Kirk in the final. He continued to run strong at IHRA's third race of the season, the Eastern Nationals at Atco. There he lasted until the semifinals. Things didn't go as well at Bristol for the IHRA Springnationals. Eventual winner Harold Denton beat him in round one. His luck continued to go sour at St. Louis for the IHRA Gateway Nationals. In round two the car broke and he lost to Rickie Smith who would go on to win. The IHRA Empire Nationals yielded no better results as Terry fouled against Kirk in the opening round. He failed to reach the finals at the IHRA Carolina Nationals, but things took a turn for the better at Budd's Creek for the Mountain Motor Nationals where he qualified #1 for the sixteen-car field with a 7.23/192.80. He picked up to a 7.11/193.50 in round one, and a 7.13/193.63 advanced past Steve Williford in round two. Unfortunately, a 7.20/193.65 in the semifinals lost to a quick-leaving Carlton Phillips who won with a 7.21/193. |

Notes: Billy was at Carolina Dragway in March for the IHRA Dixie Nationals. His 7.36/190.39 qualified #6 in the eight-car field. In the first round, his 7.51 lost to Doug Kirk's 7.34. At Atco Raceway on April 27 for the IHRA Eastern Nitrous Nationals, Billy ran a strong 7.11/191.08 in the first round over Kirk. Even with that strong pass, it didn't give him Low ET. That honor fell to Rickie Smith's 7.08 IHRA record in qualifying. Ewing failed to make the finals at that race. He was at Bristol in early June for the IHRA Springnationals, where his 7.31/188.75 qualified #7. He made it into round two before fouling against Smith. He won the season-ending IHRA Fallnationals. There, he qualified #7 with a 7.19/193.92. A first-round 7.18/195.04 beat Smith's 7.20/193.87. A second-round holeshot 7.19/194.42 beat Tim Nabors' quicker 7.13/194.05. In the semifinal, a 7.15/195.02 beat Billy Huff's 7.16/194.09. In the final, he met Joe Folgore, and another 7.15/195.04 took the win when Joe broke. Number 5 in IHRA. |

Notes: David made his first IHRA race at the IHRA Empire Nationals on July 5 at New York. He ran a 7.16/193.59 to qualify #12. In the first round, he ran a 7.19/193.00 to beat Todd Tutterow's 7.34/184.53, but he fouled against Harold Denton in the second round. At Epping on July 19 for the IHRA Northeast Nitrous Nationals, he ran a 7.21/194.63 to qualify #13. A first-round 7.24/193.88 lost to Jim Revis' 7.15/194. At the next IHRA event, the 1/8 mile Bluegrass Nationals, he qualified #16 with a 4.67/153.63, but lost early. Just making these fields was tough and David did so regularly. On August 16, he ran 7.15/194.59 to qualify #10 at the IHRA Mid-America Nationals. He lost with a 7.23/194.17 to Floyd Cheek's 7.21/191 in the first round. His qualifying streak was broken on August 30 at the IHRA World Nationals when David ran a best of 7.21/193.84 that was only good for #3 alternate. Back at Epping in September for the IHRA North American Nationals, he was back in qualifying form, running a 7.13/195.60 that was good for #14 on the grid. Unfortunately, he fouled in the first round, running a 7.19/195. His competition, Harold Denton laid down a 7.00/199, so it's easy to see why David pushed the tree. At Darlington for the IHRA US Open, a best of 7.12 failed to make the field. He ended his IHRA season at Bristol for the Fallnationals where his 7.16 once again failed to qualify (#3 alternate). |

Notes: Terry started the '92 season at Darlington for the IHRA Winternationals where a 7.14 best failed to qualify. At the second IHRA event, the Nitrous Nationals at the 1/8 mile Huntsville track, a 4.60/159.82 qualified #11, but he lost early. He lost early again at the next stop on the IHRA tour, the Cornplex Nitrous Nationals where he qualified #12 with a 7.38/188.48. Terry failed to qualify for the next three IHRA events, the Springnationals, the Summernationals, and the Empire Nationals where a 7.25/191.40 best was good for #1 alternate. He improved to a 7.16/193.21 to qualify #8 at the IHRA Northeast Nitrous Nationals at Epping and in the first round, a 7.22/192.06 beat Gary Van Vallis. An off pace 7.38/191.89 lost to Billy Huff's 7.14/197 in round two. He skipped the next few IHRA events before returning at the IHRA North American Nationals at Epping. A 7.27 failed to make the field. Another non-qualifier came at Darlington for the IHRA US Open where a 7.18 best was good for #9 alternate. |

Notes: Bob failed to qualify at Darlington for the season opening IHRA Winternationals, but at IHRA's second race of '92, the 1/8 mile Bama Nitrous Nationals at Huntsville, he qualified for his first ever IHRA National event. A 4.68/155.09 qualified #16. He advanced past a traction plagued Charlie Garrett in the first round, with a 4.68/151.18. In round two his 4.88/138.50 beat a tire shaking Tim Nabors who shut off. In the semifinals, he ran another first time qualifier in Gary Van Vallis. Bob ran 4.70/150.20, but lost to Gary's 4.64/153. On May 17 he ran at the Cornplex Nitrous Nationals, qualifying #13 with a 7.70/184.57. This time, Todd Tutterow beat him in the first round. He failed to qualify at Bristol for the IHRA Springnationals, but just made the field with a 7.21/192.30 (#16) at the IHRA Summernationals. A first-round 7.26/191.97 lost to Harold Denton's 7.11/195 in the first round. At the next IHRA event, the Empire Nationals on July 5, a 7.27 (#2 alternate) failed to qualify. He skipped over the next two IHRA events, but was back at the Nebraska Motorplex for the Mid-America Nationals on August 16. A 7.23/191.36 just got in on the bump (#16), but once again Denton got him in the first round. Harold's 7.07/195 beat Bob's 7.26/191.28. A 7.22/193.17 was only good for #6 alternate at Norwalk for the IHRA World Nationals on August 30, and an even better 7.18 was the first alternate at Epping for the IHRA North American Nationals on September 13. His ETs kept getting lower, but so were the bump spots in the fields. At Darlington, he ran 7.16 and was still almost a tenth from making the field for the IHRA US Open. He did not run at the season-ending IHRA Fallnationals. |
