Notes: The "Little Yellow Wagon" was a fixture in the exhibition class, running at major tracks, and NHRA national events from 1965 to 1968. The wheelstander was built from a '65 Ford Econoline "body in white" with a John Sachs built sub-frame supporting a Hilborn injected 427" Ford Hi-riser, also built and maintained by John Sachs. A Ford experimental 4-speed automatic transmission was fitted by the MoCo at their transmission and chassis plant (1966) between the engine and Ford 9" rear assembly. Bill Kolb Jr. was the driver, recording consistent ETs of 10.40 on a full rear wheel quarter mile pass. |
