Notes: Jim qualified #7 in the eight-car field at Detroit for the AHRA Grandnationals with a 7.27. He used another 7.27 in the first round, to beat Jimmy King and in the semifinals, he advanced easily when Dwayne Ong crossed the centerline. Things went bad in the final against Bob Murray when Jim crashed on the run. |
