Notes: According to NHRA lists, Wally ran a 1970 Camaro at Pomona and Gainesville, and then came out with the 1969 Camaro at Englishtown. He qualified #15 at E-town at 9.898/136.93, then ran 9.96 and 9.92 in eliminations. He qualified #21 at Indy 1971 at 9.901/138.00, and improved to 9.82 in eliminations (loss to Don Carlton). Notes: AKA The Quiet One. Qualified #15 at Pomona at 10.145/135.14, and then ran 10.24 in a first-round loss to Ronnie Sox at 9.90. Dick was first alternate at Gainesville at 9.930/141.92, but got into the show for Stu McDade and then ran 10.15/136.15 in a first-round loss to Wally Booth’s 9.85/139.31. Those were his only two NHRA national events of 1971. Dick also ran 10.15 at Cumming, GA. |
