Notes: Chuck Finders-built chassis, one-piece fiberglass shell from Fiberglass Trends. 396 semi-hemi with a Crankshaft Company stroker bringing it to 454 cubes, set back behind cowl. Goosed through a C&O Torqueflite trans. Initially injected. went to blower in 1968. Car featured in 5/67 Popular Hot Rodding. Car was reportedly sold to Gene Conway in '68, who replaced the front clip with a Firebird piece and swapped the Chev mill for an early hemi. Car was run under the C&O Automotive banner until Conway moved to a series of Corvette floppers. Note: Times quoted here slower than 8.60/165 PHR attributed to Hilborn-injected car the previous season, so may not be best this car saw with a blower. - RT | Last runs for this car and team were in 1967. The blown version was run by Conway. - DD Chuck Finders-built chassis, one-piece fiberglass shell from Fiberglass Trends. 396 semi-hemi with a Crankshaft Company stroker bringing it to 454 cubes, set back behind cowl.
