Notes: As the pilot of the legendary Albertson Olds Special, Harris took Top Eliminator titles at Pomona, Riverside, and Lions in 1960, as well as the 1960 NHRA Nationals in Detroit. He died in a crash at Lions on October 22/1960, after volunteering to help sort out another contestant's newly completed car. It is believed a structural failure led to the crash. - RT |
