Notes: Injected fuel. The car became airborne at Tulsa and flipped over backward. One 1966 report says this car is of the '8.30 variety,' referring to its ETs. The 9/23/66 Drag World said, "the car runs 170." Ran this car with a new body in 1967. - DD (10/29/66 Drag News). Ron broke the new Comet in at Denver, where he made three passes on July 3. The times were 9.69/149.00, 9.76/149.00, and another 9.69 at 149.30. |
