Still need a tranny - will probably go the powerglide...

Re: Perry's new project

I guess if I check in every year and a half or so.... My 'new project' got old and didn't go anywhere. I did some horse tradin' a week or so ago. The Olds was shoved into a shiny box and went off to its new home in Las Vegas. The rolling box brought its replacement back to me a couple days la...

Re: Perry's new project

Been a while since I've checked in here - obviously. Gorrilla's going to be throwing nanners at me :) Nothing to report, been busy with other things, and saving some money. It's still looking the same, except for the spiders that have taken up residence in the carbon nose. Crew chief #1 is doing is ...

Re: Perry's new project

No due date as of now Zap. It was one of those deals where I liked the component level and figured I'd grab it so I had a good base to do about anything I wanted to. So now i've got it... :D

Re: Perry's new project

Its a 91 cutlass. Not sure yet what I want to (or want to afford to) put in it. Its an older Tommy Mauny chassis and has pretty decent components.

Perry's new project

ok... It's not an Anglia, it's not tiny, heck - it isn't even nostalgic (well, maybe slightly..)

My new project:

Re: what to do when you don't have a car...

That thing could be really bad fast if it wanted to.... er you wanted it to! :D
After the 6.67 run Steve said, "ok that was cool, but I'm not sure I need to do that again" :D

Re: what to do when you don't have a car...

Norwalk was a blast, a tuning challenge, but a lot of fun! We entered in the NDRL 7.0 pro class, which is a 7.0 1/4 mile index class. Of course going in we hadn't run the car in a 1/4, so had no idea what it was going to do. The good news is that it handles really well. The bad news is it likes to g...

Re: what to do when you don't have a car...

I drove the beast this weekend - what a blast! We ran the monthly Asphalt Wars event at Thompson. 18 cars showed up for an 8 car field. I squeeked in to the field qualifying 8th with passes of 4.33 @ 165 and 4.34 @ 166 Ran the number 1 qualifier in first round, lost with a run of 4.33 @ 168 against ...

Re: what to do when you don't have a car...

You're right Jack, it is like trying to slow down the KY derby winner. The cool thing is that we can run events like the Asphalt Wars and Quick 8's with the thing set on sleep. We pulled the air pump off of it last night and pulled it apart. It only galled the endplates, the rotors and case are stil...
