World Fuel Altered Natinals

Group,
I was there as promised and have sent photos to Bill to post.
The racing was good despite the weather and damp track and Randy and Sean Belt made an extra pass which was great.
Randy had his hands full on both passes and did a masterful job.

Nitro Madness Photo

Yes WC, that is the photo, and I don't care if people use my shots most of the time, my ego likes the credit though. Looks like after reading your post and Bill's it happens a lot. I also get my last name spelled wrong most of the time.
IA Al- Unsung in the heartland. LOL

World Fuel Altered Meet

To all of you who cannot be there, I will try to make up by cheering extra for Randy and Nitro Madness.
That photo in Drag Illustrated of Nitro Madness was by this old guy, Wes just forgot to give me credit. Sigh, the life of a poor photo wannabe. LOL

Indy

Went to Indy the first time in 83. Moats won TA/FC, but I had left on Sunday night, because I had to work Monday night. Wish I had stayed, but a 12 hour shift is a lot of money with a family. Went 4 days in 87/88 with the wife. That burned her out, she has only gone to the drags twice in all the yea...

Bonneville and the Bear

Rock, I was with Moats in those day's and even was the bear at the Popular Hot Rodding Meet at Martin, Michigan. It took a lot of talking to get me to do it, but I did make the National Dragster. And it was hot in that suit and my glasses kept fogging up. Steve Group fixed that problem, WC1, my digi...

Where have you lived

Born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. Both my folks were from Iowa, but they had moved up there so dad could take a job in a paper mill after college. He was a chemist. A month and a day after I was born, Pearl Harbor was attacked and the folks moved to Des Moines soon after where my dad finished out...

Looking forward to seeing what Chet, the Eddyville track photographer sent you. I have seen lots of his stuff and he's good.

Afternoon

Well, I finally got logged on long enough to post this. After 7 or 8 attempts each day and being thrown off every time I changed pages, I'm sticking in today.
Mostly just lurking and reading.
Lippy, that Newman guy sure looks like you!
Counting down to the World Fuel Altered Nationals.

Randy In A Flopper

Wow, what a cool deal that would be if Virgil and Randy could hook up.
I hope it is somewhere I could be there and take photos, but if not, one of this group could be there.
You have the talent Randy, you just need to get the chance.
