Good Morning, heavy rain last night, over flowing the eves. Canada has been assured that there was just one shooter yesterday. The Sargent-at-Arms killed the shooter before before he got into any Parliament Chambers.

These lone wolf types are frustrating. Glad the Sargent at Arms took care of business before more lives were lost.

Nice day here today. Should be a nice weekend. Pool finally closed up. Time for Fall... bp

I had this afternoon set up as a "change the tracks on the bobcat" time. But, last night I started on the project & before I knew it I had them changed. Might use the time to use the bobcat in the backyard this afternoon, cleaning up the wood splitting area & moving some gravel around.

We were invited to an unexpected house party tonight. One of Denise's teacher friends just died from cancer a few weeks ago. They all got together with her parents to clean out a storage locker that belonged to her late friend. The friend's fiancee and parents invited us to dinner for thanks. Had a great time under the circumstances. Fiance turned out to be a Super Pro dragster driver who started racing at MIR the year after I stopped announcing! He is part owner of Brandywine Auto Parts (which you all passed on the left as you came into Waldorf). House was amazing, but what a cool, down to earth guy. The late teacher's dad was super interesting to talk to as well. A long time police officer who was one of the top bloodhound trainers in the country. He traveled all over the states and Canada teaching police departments how to train and use bloodhounds. He was involved in several famous missing persons and fugitive cases, too. He's 80 now and moving a little slow, but very sharp still. He wants me to come over to chat more often and I'm going to try to find the time. bp
