Sounds like a good one, Doc! Around here, Debby and the boyz showed up at around 1:30 from a 3-day trip to Missouri. Her family is based near Fort Leonard Wood, in Dixon. I asked how far that is from St. Louis and Nick (I mean Chris) said "Two Hours." O-K...All 4 sisters and the mother in law were there and all their kids. If I'd have gone, I'd have probably made a pilgrimage to the 1-man shop. I got a $250 Christmas bonus at work, so I gave 100 to Kyle, 100 to Nick and 50 to Debby (I just spent a hundred on her 4 days ago for our anniversary...the roses are stinking to high heaven if you ask me...she loves them...)...they were all happy. They wanted to eat at Denny's. I suggested the Edloe Street Deli, where I'd played a gig back in October with the Citykings and they gave me a free meal coupon...Debby's sister Candy opened a Deli (The Full Belly Deli) in Dixon recently with money she made selling yard-sale items on eBay, and I'd been hankering for a Rueben sammich lately with a big Kosher pickle, but no. Denny's. Great big breakfast. So I took 'em. I got the Ham Slam, Debby got the French Toast, and Nick got the sampler. The guy that waited on us could be playing right guard for the Texans or something...by the way, we beat Indy yesterday...will miracles never cease? This big huge black guy waited on us meticulously and made sure we had everything we ordered perfectly and on time. I tipped him 10 bucks and he liked to fainted. He deserved it. It's Christmas, and he didn't have to do half the stuff he did for us. We came home and took a little nappie-poo that was only interrupted by Nick's drum practice at 4, but it got me going enough to turn on the TV and watch the Pokes get beat by the Eagles. Carrie Underwear (I mean Underwood) was not pleased, but Tony Romo has it goin' on, even when he loses, don't he...TO got hit right in the hands with the rock a lot and he couldn't hang on. What a flake. Gave Sabbath some Catnip (saved a little for me, too) and watched him roll around and act like an idiot and I laughed. Kyle's not feeling good so I got him some Chicken noodle soup at Denny's and brought it home for him. Everybody's happy. It's all good. Cheers, WC1
