In the old days, the leaving the show on Sunday nite was the best part! I have pulled so many burnouts out of that place it was insane. Moats used to start his funny and do burnouts. It was pretty wild!

Well the cops have shut all the crazyness off. We have the car all together. I purposely didn't run the valves, and there is no fuel at all in it. Unless it is warm out, it is not good on these cars to start them.

So even if I got weak kneed, and changed my mind. We can't start it this weekend.

Ahhh burnouts. Brings back memories of Porky's Drive Inn in Mineapolis ..... Street Rod Nats. back in the 70's. No mosquitos for blocks around the drive in that night. :D :D :D

Well, I made it back home. The car is tucked away safe, checked the screen under the injector,,,no foreign materials there!

Had a great time. Bs'd with a bunch of guys. Was able to catch up with the goings on. The car looked pretty good under the lights for a 3-4 year old racecar paintjob.

Nobody got it on leaving the joint,,,kinda disappointing.

If I see one more supercharged street car with volocity stacks and air cleaners on it roof high it will be too soon!!

Man, makes the whole team want to go racing seeing the car together again.

I'll bet it was kinda frustrating just having that car sit there all weekend and not be roaring down a dragstrip, but it is a dadgum beautiful hot rod as well as a hard-running machine. It's great that y'all took it down there and showed it...a lot of people learned something from seeing it, hopefully! Cheers, WC1

WC, it was a good weekend. We got to talk to a ton of people about the World Fuel Altered Nationals, and had a lot of good response about it.

It gave Eddville a chance to show off the caliber of cars who race there and they promoted us pretty well. They are having us as part of the big show on the 4th of July. They were bummed we were already booked for memorial day and labor day as they wanted us for those dates also.

On a different note, I was amazed at the number of people who asked about the Vette, where was it, do you still have it, was hoping it would be done here also. It made me feel pretty good. 8)

ANy plans to have the vette @ the DLN's? Either to run or just to show?
That'd be cool.

Hey, you could hop back & forth between the vette & the altered, Sorta' like Tony Stewart NASCAR/INDY. :D :D :D

I have been kicking it around. It would depend on the logistics, but I may try to have it there.

I did talk to a buddy of mine who will bring his top-sportsman 63 Vette for us to the Draglist Nats!!
