What is your favorite non-national event of all time? Booked in show, independent, or whatever.

My picks later.

I would have to say the world series.
15th Annual DRAGLIST Nationals Sometime in 2020. Somewhere in the USA.

I would have to say the Olympics of Drag Racing and the Labor Day Spectacular held at Broadway Bob's Great Lakes Dragaway, and the World Series of Drag Racing at Cordova. Especially the years that I competed in these events.

One event that really sticks out in my mind is the U.S. Funny Car Nationals at Gateway in September, 2004.

As for as ones I've been to, it was hard to beat the 50th Cordova, although for sheer magic, going to OCIR two or three times in 1977 was right up there. As for the ones I WISH I had gone to, the various Manufacturer's Championships in SoCal would have been hard to top. The first funny car reunion was fun, as was the first Classic Thunder event Bob Gettys and I promoted. bp

Oh my gosh I forgot the USSC -- I think that THOSE were right up there at the top of my list, especially since I made so many life long friendships there and was at the birth of Pro Mod... Riding with the Outlaws, baby! (Thanks to Matt Polito). bp
