No doubt he'd be at Eddyville this weekend, folks, but he has this little ceremony to attend...A heartfelt congratulations and best wishes from WildcatOne, a true fan...as all of us are. You not only are honorable for your accomplishments in the world of motorsports and Drag Racing, you are a true friend and a completely honest and sincere human being. You never let being a star go to your head, never went over the top in dealing with so many pretenders, jerks and wannabes, you've always been this real-life champion that will officially and deservedly be placed among the greats at that legendary track. I'll be with most everybody else hanging out and having fun at Eddyville, but I assure you, Wally Bell, you will be thought of with our highest regard and pride of being your friends. I hope you enjoy your time there and post some pictures, because this weekend you are about to have is as important to me there as it will be in Iowa. I am just so damned proud for you! I was describing who 'Gator' was to Emily today as she want to thank him (and others) for the welcome. Her face lit up when I said it was Wally, whom she'd met at York last year with his lovely wife Bev. I also told her that for the first York Reunion I'd missed, what a bad one to miss because my longtime friend was being inducted into the Hall of Fame there. Missing Wally's induction is seriously the only downside to being at Eddyville this year. We certainly will be thinking about our Gator as we get together.

Wally came all the way to this little town in Iowa to be a pall bearer for friend Larry Laverty.
