 Like all old folks I have to take some meds to keep going.

Yesterday, at Doc's request, I went for routine check at our local
small town clinic here in Lacon, IL POP 2K. This is done to keep or tune up my prescriptions so I can keep my heart going, blood pressure down ,lower my cholesterol, maintain my sex life etc.

After an hr. wait I get called in. Fist thing is-Nurse checks my wt. on a cheap digital bathroom scale. She reads 258.5

After she left the room-I got on scale 3 times and it was 253.5. I had my wallet, cell phone, wad of keys etc. in a bag so my wt. would be somewhat valid. Guess what? I wieghed with and without the bag and still rang up 253.5 :?: :!:

The main point is-the nurse wrote down 258.5 :? 5 lbs. mistake.

Then she comes back to get some blood for a test called a Pro-Time. It tells how long it takes for your blood to thicken. Blood medicines are monitored this way. Vary scary sh-t! She does a finger prick. Took sample. Gives me a tissue to stop blood leaking-Then turns around and says, Don't stop the flow yet! I need more again! I hope I can hit the Zero this time!!!!

Then she went on to mark standard questions about my diet and alky intake and I noticed later she had those marked ass backwards. :? :(

Nurse leaves. Then the same Dr. that requested my presense at this witch doctor affair asks me, "Why are You here :?: :?: :!: !!!"

Then Doc tells me my blood is too thin. The numbers read quite a bit off my normal readings of several years. So I am sure the Nurse did not hit ZERO again and botched my blood sample also.  8)

Luckily my blood info goes to the blood clinic at Heart Care Midwest in Peoria, IL -30 miles from here. That is where my personal heart specialist Dr. Dahnakuhla will check it out. I know what is coming :!: :!:

My heart doctor (Donna-I call her  )(She is cute too! Little ruby in her forehead  ) will want me to come to Peoria to get a proper test done.

By the way-when I got home yesterday and weighed on Linda's super accurate Weight Watcher's scale I was 248 lbs. I know that scale is correct. Linda's a role model for weight watchers. That is why she still has a figure of a 16 year old cheerleader at 65. YUM! :!: Where's my MEDSSS!!! :!: :!:   I should get her a cheerleading outfit!   8)

 What gets me is: I balance engine components to 1/2 a gram. We measure mechanical componets in .00005. And read et. timers to.000. but the Medical People are dealing directly with human lives and health.

I know I would not want those folks building me an engine , setting up my chassis, doing tech or running race control   8)

I may not spell good   -but hey-I sure can measure and perform procudures accurate :!:

Funny as H#!! but sadly true
I saw my ortho surgeons "assistant" today in lack of his being available and me having some major issues with my now 8 week old compound fracture surgery that can't wait. Pulled me off 3 meds and put me on 4 new ones incl a steroid and major league pain med.Went over everything I was taking with her (assistant) before leaving the office.Get perscriptions filled and get home and read the "fine print" on all. Bingo!.....the steroid says not to use with the group of meds that incl new painkiller perscribed !!!
Got all resolved and no harm-no foul but golly going to the Dr.seems to be getting more and more difficult. And this is a highly regarded major orthopedic practice in an area of 100,00+!

Naw they just hand out samples of the latest fuel additive....

side effects include sputtering, backfire, explosion, missing, carbon build up, sticking throttle, fire, bad smell, failure to comply with tech.
