Zappy's Cackle

Postby Iowa Al » Tue Jul 17, 2007 12:38 pm

When Norb shut the engine off, Zappy just sat there with this great smile on his face. I asked him when he was going to get out of the car. He said,
"come back and get me in a couple of days." It was priceless and Norb sure picked the right person to cackle.
What a blast!

Well I'll be danged! I KNOW this Zappy character! Hope I can get an autograph someday when the Breakfast Club meets! Ya know, he made me search for this thread. He dropped me a PM, just hinting that something great happened to him, but he wouldn't say what. Guess I'll be planning my vacation in Iowa next year! Congrats Zappy!

too bad you couldn't have been there with us wheelz it was funny ! ( he went over the top !) not to mention Randy gave him a little cockpit orientation on what he does when he drives after we finished pushing him .

Great story and even better the great people that share their drag racing passion with you. That grin on your face in that cool digger is priceless!
