I was just going to let this thread die a slow and painful death.

However since I started it, I should finish it off.

Yes, the Red Cutlass is back in service as of last nite. It runs smooth and nice like a champ. I spent last nite cleaning the car, and the interior before taking it back to Laura. She was thrilled to have it. She has been driving my White Cutlass. The reason she is so thrilled to get the red one back,,,,,it has a console with "drink holders"!!!

As far as the miss it had. I learned something cool. The guy who came over to help me, before taking it to the dealer to diagnose, used a test light. He grounded it, then slid it in each sparkplug boot by the coil. On the cylinders that were working, it was noticeable when he grounded them out. 2-cylinders it made no difference. Humm,,,we re-traced the plug wires on those cylinders,,,,yep they were twisted in the loom. We switched them around. It smoothed right up!!

The funny/embarrassing thing about crossing those wires. I had checked that very thing about 3-times. RC, one of my crewguys put that bank on. We double-checked them together, they seemed right.

So the mission is OVER!!! :D

Yes we can,,,normal is as normal does!!

You guys and gals should see my hands!! They look like I have had them in a paper shredder. Cuts, scrapes all over. Along with the required black grease ground into the lines of them.

Working on racecars is MUCH better and a whole lot cleaner also!! :D

Well, now I could take the engine back out with-out getting dirty this time, as of course I cleaned everything while it was apart. I just hope never to have this kind of fun again!

What and miss out on all this fun!!!

Actually this is our NICE car. I have no idea why the the cam gave up. These engines normally go a ton of miles trouble free. Just my good luck I suppose. I was asked that very question by Jer, I offered to buy the new car, and he could take over paying Shelby's college bills. I think he understood then.
