12:30 AM here. Just got home. It is going together. All was going fairly well until I tried to put the exhaust pipe back on. I discovered the other motor exhaust exit was in the wrong place for my car. So in the engine bay, remove the heat shields, remove the manifold, change out. It sucked, but that part is over. Onward and upward.

Now the fun of routing fuel lines, vac hoses and electric wiring begins!

man i hate it when that happens... (different manifold ) always running into things that are close but different...my buddy did a swap on a s-10 pickup.. 4cylinder.. everything was exactly the same and went together smoothly untill hooking up the wiring and it had a different magnetic crank sensor . almost impossible to get to with the engine in and to top it off it was pot metal and plastic and broke off in the block trying to swap it.. had to remove the engine and start over...

I sure was glad RC, one of my crewguys came down to help. I have been working on this thing until around midnite all week. I am kinda dragging. Well it was going along fairly well. Things were going back together. Man, I tell ya. When I found that it was like a brick wall. I was ready to just call it a nite. I just knew in my mind how tough that was going to be.

RC, said, "it is a minor set-back. Lets get it changed. Won't you feel better if you finish this part tonite?" I admitted, I would feel better if it was behind me.

I got after it, while he removed the one off my old motor. It was pretty tough, but we got it done, and I did feel better going home knowing I didn't have a nasty project staring me in the face again today.

It is nice to have friends, he sure pumped me up when I needed it. :D Working on a difficult project with a buddy or two makes things go better I think.

Instead of going through all this trouble, why didn't you just buy her a new car?
