We went to the track Thursday to set up camp and play in the rain..lol Friday morning we got up (It was still raining.) so we went on down to the cafe at the track..We walked in and found our buddy Justin Grant and crew already there hiding out from the rain... It was like dejavu as we had this very same run in with Justin at the thunderfest..lol I was talking to Joe(Stardust driver) and had asked him about standing way out in front of him on the track to get a head on burnout shot.He informed me if i was a couple hundred feet out it would prolly work...After thinking it over i decided against it and tried a different approach.. I am soo glad i tried the second route as the video of the burnout is by far my favorite video i have shot yet...Anyhow they made there runs and we videoed the other pros..Next we decided it would be cool if we could have Joe hold the camera in the cockpit while doing the warmup in the pits..He agreed and it turned out very cool..I want to thank Justin ,Joe and the rest of the stardust crew for doing everything they could to help us get some new cool shots....

I went over to see my new buddies the Hough family(Nanook team). We spent some time with them last weekend at eddyville and i wanted to stop by and say hi..When we got there they greeted us like we were family. That team has the greatest people bar none that i have ever met..We spent quite a bit of time just hanging out with them all weekend..When we got ready to leave this morning i went over to say goodbye to them..Only Dave and his wife were there..We talked for a few minutes then i told them well hopefully we get to see ya again.Thats when Linda gave me a big hug and thanked us for everything..When she did that it almost brought a grown man to tears..If any of you have never met them and get a chance Please stop bye and talk to them..You will be glad you did...That was definitely a memory that i will store away for later ...

Was great hanging out with ya again Eric. Hopefully next time I can actully see your car...This eric guy was working on about 3 or 4 diff Nitro cars friday..lol

Also finally got to meet Erik Carlson, and went up and introduced myself to jared but he was in the lanes so i didn't stick around very long...

Here are some pics the wife and I took...

great shots man!! glad ya stopped and say'd hi. i jus wished we could of finished racing saturday night. Better safe than sorry. I really wanted to get out on the track while the pro's were going, i bet we had 6.34-6.36 left in the car. we ran pretty good all day. first qualify was a 6.414 which we ate up a set of plug wires because they came out of their holder and got caught in the blower belt when the chutes opened up , 2nd qualify was 6.418 with burst panel partially knocked out of it at 1000 ft. First round was the new track record of a 6.381 and it was dancing a little down track. all day i was having a little too much fun with the burnout

Jared, I just noticed that we do not have your car on the drag lists. We got to get it on there! Is this the same team as Bruce Micetich from Knoxville, IA? We have that car on the lists. Need to get that 6.38 and and your best eighth mile times up on the lists...

Funny you mention the burnouts Jared...Last weekend at Eddyville was the first time my wife was on the line videoing...She videoed your run and was covered head to toe in rubber particles....She was gonna come over and give ya chit about it.... Jared I wouldnt have wanted to see you run after the accident happened..Good news is both parties are ok but I think lamonts(sp) dragster is toast.... Just a FYI if you guys ever see a wreck happen please stay away..Last night when the incident happened Cordova had Me and 1800Eric on security at the top end .There must have been 200 people who drove up on some kinda pit bike/golfcart.all this did was clogged the return road and make it harder for people to do there jobs. If any of you were there and I was extremly rude to you(actaully wanted to punch one drunk) I want to apologize but there was no way I was letting anyone down there.....
