Bonneville and the Bear

Rock, I was with Moats in those day's and even was the bear at the Popular Hot Rodding Meet at Martin, Michigan. It took a lot of talking to get me to do it, but I did make the National Dragster. And it was hot in that suit and my glasses kept fogging up. Steve Group fixed that problem,
WC1, my digital camera I used at Eddyville is slow, but my film camera has a motor drive that will take 3.5 frames per second. I put 600mm of lens on, stick it on a tripod and hammer the really fast ones. I was lucky in my previous trips to see 3 cars at over 400mph. What a rush.
I LL have lots of photos, you can be sure of that.

Al, That Hamm's bear was a real hit with the fans. :D

I can believe that that suit was hot.
I was at the Pop Rod Meet at Martin in 82. Had a ring side seat as I was in the first pair in staging to run Super Comp. They called us to the lanes at 6PM and we finally ran first round at 1:30AM.
They also had us suit up three different times and then had us get out of the cars.
