I'm coming in late on the congratulations, MC, but that is a truly great thing. I never played in an orchestra (till now, I guess...9 pieces...) it's going to pay off for you down the road when you start making decisions about what you want to do when you graduate...if you decide to pursue music professionally (which it looks like you will..."Music Chickie"...) then this will be a major step towards that life. Your Dad has a whole lot of music going on in him, and I believe you inherited that talent from him...so yeah, it's party time! Life is good! You're in and on your way! Cheers, WC1

Thanks, guys. We are proud of our Emily. 4th chair in the county as a freshman is pretty good. She barely finished behind her great pal Nate for third; but he was sweating it! The top two spots went to upper classmen, one of whom's mom plays Violin with the National Philharmonic. This is a great deal. Emily was top fish in the middle school pond in a three-county area, but now she will have a chance to elevate her game by hanging out with these veteran players. Go, Emmers! bp

I'm gonna try to get into music therapy

Nate is NOT a great pal, he is a person I have known for a long time that annoys the bujeezes out of me

Great job Em!
I played in both band and orchestra in high school, but it was only a snare drum.
Grew up with a father who loved opera and classic music, so I like anything short of rap and heavy metal.

Awsome!
I will listen to ANYTHING!
that includes rap (depending on the language), heavy metal, go go, hip-hop, country (some people find that repulsive), classical, pretty much anything,

but i never said i'd enjoy it! Somethings are just too far for me, but its not like i CAN'T listen to them, like a certain father of mine...

u just LOVE rap, don't u daddy?!
