Postby thunderlungs » Sat Jun 27, 2009 11:30 am

For those of you considering this life-changing event, be forewarned.

I was innocently walking around the '07 York Reunion show floor when - WHAM! - I felt something hit my naked forehead! What I saw before me was JAck Redd with a wild look on his face (quire normal really) saying, "Got YA!"

As a public service to those not yet so annointed I publish this photograph as a warning; Redd will place those things ANYWHERE wheer opportunity indicates, to wit:

You have been forewarned .....[/img]

While at the Capitol Raceway Nostaglia Meet, I notice a couple of families at the fence between the tower and the bleachers. They were excited watching the drag races and the cars coming up the return road next to them. I surprised them when I got Nick Boninfante and Phil Burhart of the "US Male" Funny Car to give them autograph pictures and a picture taken with them. I named them the Capitol Raceway Drag Race Family Fan Club. When they "stated bring a child to the drag races" the families of Fultonberger and Purper's did just that!
Now members are the Fultonbergers'; Traci, Ashley, Wanda, Joe Sr., Joe Jr., Cody and Austin.
The Purpers' are; Jimmy Sr., Jimmy Jr., Austin, Kaye, Paige and Aiden.
Others are:Randy T. Harris, James Harris, Nick Boninfante, Phil Burkhart, Kim Fourcade, Dwayne Milstead, Amy Feuerstein, Tim & Angie Harris, Randy Bruette's '71 Vega, Oliver Yvonne, Jason Bicknell '27-T-Bucket, Mike Rubenau, Lynn Maggio, Steve Maggio, Ebert Maggio, Jeff Jones, Brad Austin, Jon & Sandy Harris, Aris McGoward, Marcus Graves, Mike Conner, Jim Lowery, Mike Mori, Dave Bruce and Todd Denton.
Also now in the club are; A J. Hrudka, Don Roberts of AA/FD fame and "Rapid" Laura Baker.

The best use for cowhide is to keep the cow together.
Did you know a cow cannot give milk. You have got to take it!
If someone ask you, a penny for your thoughts and all they have is a nickel, do you give them your two-cents worth twice and keep the nickel?
Or give them change!
Watch for a Nostalgia Funny Cars Meet at Atco Dragway this Spring. FREE Admission! Watch Draglist for more information in coming months.
