I ran across this vid on the YouTubes the other night, this guy put an awesome slide show together comprised of pictures he took over the years of pro stock drag racing and set it to some cool tunes. It's a feast for any enthusiast of the division with a taste for some oldschool automotive beauty Man do I miss those cars, this video absolutely warmed me up with great memories. It doesn't end there though, he finishes it off with a final round race from 1983 that took place at Indy between Bob Glidden and Lee Shepherd. FANTASTIC. What a beautiful race it was.
Anyhoo... I figured if anyone would enjoy it, it would be this crowd
Check it out and be sure to click the High Quality (HQ) button for a slightly crispier view, it looks great at fullscreen.
Here's the info from the description:
Some pictures that I took of Pro Stockers back in the '70s and '80s along with a clip from the Diamond P video "Decade Of Thrills" Note... the last photo, at 6:43, before the video clip is one that I took from the grandstands at the '83 US Nationals showing Lee Shepherd in the lead at that point. But as the video shows, Bob Glidden drove around him to take the title. Great Racin'!!
