A LOT has happened since then. Darrel Russell, Al Hoffmann and Scott Geoffrion are gone. David Nickens, Darrell Alderman, Whit Bazemore, Mark Pawuk, none of those guys are still out there. It's amazing how fast this sport changes and how drastically the big picture is revised in such a short period of time. Thanks for the post, Pete. It's already historical stuff...Cheers, WC1

I knew I forgot somebody...good picture of him in that album...that wreck in Dallas was a permanent life-changing event for him. Can't really say's I blame him for stepping out of it. I remember him saying something to the effect that he'd never be the same again. I happened to come across the video of that crash the other day and I watched it. Just like when it happened, it made me sick to see it again. He and Kenny Koretsky are lucky to have survived that one. Thanks again for the link, Pete. WC1

He's right across town from me. I've driven past the Nickens Brothers' shop several times. What's DN doing these days? I haven't kept up with him...no doubt still making horsepower...Cheers, WC1
