Welcome to the group, Brian. I was just down in Galveston visiting WildcatOne and my pal Steve Gammill, and I had a blast. Great to have you with us. bp

Great to have you here, Brian. I live in Stafford. Been with DragList since 2003 and it's home. You oughta start up a Super Crew Thread and make some posts, the 69 looks great! Lots of history there. Welcome aboard! WC1
I noticed you were fairly local to me. I went into the cafe forum and saw pics of your band. Really cool! My family and I were just at Kemah a couple of weekends ago before all rain. I got my 9 yr old daughter and 6 yr old son to ride the coaster. They didn't want to ride again, LOL. BUT....they loved the dungeon drop! What gives? I didn't want to ride the drop again, LOL. And they gave me all sorts of flack, just like I did to them about the coaster. I guess what comes around goes around.

I was amazed how the rebuild went after Ike only 1 year later. I couldn't tell that area was devastated at all. The Bolivar though, a different story.

We got lucky here in Lake Jackson with only peak winds at 76 mph for no longer than 5 minutes. The rest averaged at the height of Ike was only 55 mph. Most of the wind was elevated but some high speed wind was transported to the surface here and there. i stayed out in it all night (the weatherhound in me), filming and feeling what I majored in college in. It was a wicked night I must say.
