8) yep FH.... When i was crusin' we had at least 5 drive-ins to pick from in a 10 mile radious of our local SteakNshake.... if you met a cute cheerleader from a rival school district she could pick the movie and we would GO! where ever her and her friends wanted !! Now the closest drive-in is 65 miles away from metro St.Louis ! I think it is time to level some slums and build an outdoor deal.... nowadays the sound can be broadcast over the car stereo and sell some burgers/hot dogs etc... it can work with the right piece of realestate !!!

:( the very last 2 drive-ins in st.louis county went down hill quick. one of them , the Olympic, which in now John Taylor's salvage yard (yes the same John Taylor as the john taylor Bill Kuhlman camaro first doorslammer over 200 mph  ).. they started playing soft porn movies to get people thru the gates.. the next to go was the AIRWAY drive-in witch is now a low dollar MEGA MALL with Save-A-Lot as the main attraction.. At least they restored the old drive-in marquee with a baton twirlin' flashing lite/neon deal chick 8) .. The St.Ann 4-screen was the place to go, as it was really dark with not many emplpoyees walking around checking up on what was going on after dark  .. cheap pot in the air, fogged windows was the norm !!.... the best $5 ever spent !! One night with a girlfriend we heard a tap on the window from a Rent-A-Cop at 5:30 am..... we had both fallen asleep !! man was her dad pissed off !!..... yep Drive-ins are fun !! :(
