I kind of miss having a cool street car. My last one was a '65 Buick Gran Sport, nailhead 4-speed car. Sold it 17 years ago to buy our house(which we raised the kids in and still own, so no regrets on the decision to sell).

When I did have the GS I missed cruising, real cruising, not the parking lot cruises that are the norm today, but 'cruisin' the loop', wherever the loop may have been. 10-or 20 laps, a few stoplight launches (maybe side by side with another car) and even the $1.75 gallons of crappy pump gas available then.

Renton, Seward Park, Colby Avenue, Golden Gardens, Alki Beach, were the hotspots around here, back 'when'.
