I couldn't agree more, Slick V...what hurts me is that Randolph hasn't had me come to work for him for 2 weeks now. I talked to him about it and he said he got some money from the wreck he had so he is working at home doing some upkeep and maintenance on his property, but he has to keep his Mexicans, otherwise they'll move on to Louisiana and he needs them here to keep his business going. So he can't use me right now. They work for 6-8 bucks an hour and he paid me 10. Sorry. Good luck. You can get Joaquin, Jose, Jose, Jose, Manuel, Manuel, Arturo, Francisco, Benito, Albador and Manuel for what it would cost to have half as many American guys working for you. Of all the Mexicans Randolph has, one of them got his green card and paid the fees and is now becoming a US citizen and is learning to speak English and establish himself and is paying taxes out of his salary. The rest of them live on cash, line up at convenience stores for food (there are lines of them everywhere you go buying junk food), and 16 of them'll go in on a one-bedroom apartamento and a car with no title, insurance and none of them have drivers' licenses. That is a typical scenario. They undercut the wage median as well as the contractors' price guidelines and are sucking money out of the economy like a vacuum cleaner. And they don't speak a lick of English. But they have the jobs...Cheers, WC1

I don't really know how it is all over the US, Lippy, but down South, we're just Northern Mexico. Stores, SCHOOLS, restaurants, radio and TV stations (more in Spanish than in English, and the ones in English have SAPs in Espanol), you name it...if you want English, yes...you gotta press 1...otherwise, Bienvenidos! Cheers, WC1

We all came from somewhere..( all colors, creeds),
America's language however is English. not Spanish
I too resent having to translate and really resent illegals who can't speak our language (convoluted as it is)

It's been tough for many over the years, but they've all been proud to learn. I have three grandparents who came over on ships... two from Poland and one from Syria. My mom, just first generation, was absolutely a fantastic speaker and writer in English and so was my dad. It's how it should be. However, just in case, Emily and Jason are taking Spanish to be able to converse with the folks who'll likely work for/with them over their lives. bp

I hope they too "take a stand" on this one.
It's time to say "WTF" (I wonder how to say WTF in spanish?)
in my opinion.

not necessarily the opinion of this station, etc., etc.
