I get asked all the time about DragList.com. I have DragList stickers on all my instruments and my cars..."Uh, what's DRAG-RITE, man?" I tell 'em pretty much what Maritime says. It's an online encyclopedia of the sport of Drag Racing, going back to the first day an organized drag race was held and before, running up to current times. Everything related to the sport. Some folks look at me like I'm a weirdo (like they used to do when Garlits told them it's what he does) and don't say any more...I can tell they think I'm talking about NASCAR. Other folks get down with it immediately and they know what drag racing is, but they don't understand how a musician is into this...Hank Wadkins, our keyboard player, raced a series of Modified Production '56 Chevys back in the early-to-mid 60s around this area with considerable success (he was a hitter but he had to race against August "Hands" Hartkopf who was virtually unbeatable yet everybody loved Hands) and he knows exactly what I'm talking about. But for the most part, it's like Stimpy said, folks don't know what DragList is and it seems the best way to explain it is to let 'em find out for themselves if they really want to know. I always tell 'em to check into it and they'll be amazed at the breadth and depth of this incredible site. Cheers, WC1
